WWS Is a registered charitable organization that maintains a year-round wildlife rehabilitation sanctuary.  All injured and orphaned animals are accepted, rehabilitated and appropriately release back into their natural habitats.

Wildlife that is deemed non-releasable may find sanctuary at Red Rock Circle, and be considered for the WWS Educational Program.

Through community events, WWS strives to promote a better understanding, respect and appreciation of the world around us.

WWS also collects data, gathers information, and assists the public with wildlife issues and concerns.

Text Box: Monika Melichar was educated as a zoologist at the University of Guelph, during which time she worked with the Ministry of Natural Resources at the Loring Deer Station.  After graduation, she was employed at the Metro Toronto Zoo as an assistant to the Curator of Mammals.  

1n 1988, Monika decided to open a pet store and soon after became immersed in wildlife rehabilitation through the OSPCA, Toronto Wildlife Centre, veterinarians and other facilities.

She is the Director of Wildlife for P.A.W.S. of Georgina and holds her license as a wildlife custodian with the MNR and has a migratory bird permit with the Canadian Wildlife Services.
